Eddy Alvarez is an American short track speed skater who represented the United States at the 2014 Winter Olympics.  That isn’t Eddy’s only accomplishment.  He’s also a professional baseball player for The Birmingham Barons, a minor league affiliate for the Chicago White Sox. He took to roller skating at the age of 5 and began speed skating at 7 years old.  In high school, Alvarez took a break from skating to focus on his love for baseball which earned him a college scholarship.  Now he’s able to live out both his dreams, an Olympic Speed Skater and a Professional Baseball Player.
