“People who tend to help other people tend to live the most fulfilled life.”
Former NFL Defensive Tackle, and current medical student, Jeremy Towns, joins Dr. Bhrett McCabe to discuss his journey through life, school, and the NFL.
From a young age, Towns had to face challenges that most 13 year olds would run away from, but instead of bowing out, he stood up to his circumstances. Jeremy talks about the mindset he needed throughout his high school and college years on and off the field.
“Anytime you put talent with working hard then you have a chance for unbelievable results.”
This proved true as he made his way to the NFL after his years at Samford University training under coach Pat Sullivan. He then found himself faced with an unfamiliar challenge, one of confidence. On this podcast, Towns explains his journey through the power of faith and how God has fueled him to make a dent in society starting in his college years,
“Once I believed that I’m supposed to be here, it was another level of success.”
With 2 season-ending injuries, and 3 NFL teams later, Towns is now a medical student driven by a purpose to help others.
“My goal is inspiration and hope,” Towns explains, and through the power of his faith and mental endurance, Jeremy Towns will continue to create a movement that is continuing to spread in Alabama.
